Corner to Corner Crochet Snowflake Pillow - Free Crochet Pattern
/ Bailey WilliamsHey Guy’s!
Corner to corner (c2c) is really in right now, and this is actually a stitch pattern I have never worked before, so naturally I decided to spend late nights teaching myself and writing up a pattern for you guys!
Christmas is a few months away but it’s never too early to get started on your holiday crochet projects. This simple snowflake pillow is the PERFECT beginner’s corner to corner project and makes gorgeous holiday decor!
Corner to corner crochet is done by following a chart, there are no written instructions until seaming. This may sound intimidating but once you understand the concept of C2C crochet it’s really a very simple process.
Let’s Begin!
Notes:
Pillow is done by making two c2c square (24 x 24 tiles), seaming edges together at the end.
Follow the snowflake chart for one square, the back square is a solid square.
Read the chart beginning from the bottom right tile ending at the top left tile.
To make weaving ends easier later on, carry the yarn for the snowflake square.
Tile - Each c2c square (Ch3, 3DC).
Finished pillow measurement - 14” x 14”
Materials:
3 Balls Red Heart yarns Amore in Rooibos (Medium 4 Weight yarn)
1 Ball Red Heart yarns Amore in Chamomile (Medium 4 Weight yarn)
3.75mm Crochet Hook
Polyfill Stuffing
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Chart:
Seaming:
Step 1 - Using the mattress stitch, seam 3 sides of one square to 3 sides of the other square, leaving one side open.
Step 2 - At this point you should be left with what looks like a potato sack. Add polyfill stuffing.
Step 3 - Seam last side closed.
As Fall is approaching I’ve noticed a multitude of “crochet pumpkin” patterns show up all over my Pinterest feed. I LOVE how they look. I went ahead and designed two more pumpkins to go along with this one so that you can make your own “Crochet Pumpkin Patch!”

Remember when I said I was planning on design a collection of "Rustic" Home Items. Well, Here is the next item on that list; The Amour Hanging Towel. This dish towel is made unique because it hangs from your oven handle! I've wanted to design a dish cloth like this for a while, so I am SO HAPPY to finally have done this for you all!
Recently, I have found myself with a new appreciation for handmade dish & wash cloths. They are the most simple project, work up quickly and make for the perfect gift!
In all the years I've been crocheting/knitting I am yet to make a pom pom rug! Of course, this DIY does not require you to crochet/knit but with having such a large yarn stash you would think I'd have made one by now.
I've been pretty busy lately, as most of you know this blog is new to me and I'm still working on coming up with fun DIY projects for you all. I've actually been in an inspiration rut lately, when this happens I will often leave my house and just wonder around town. So that's exactly what I did!
Hey Guy's!
Recently, a family friend of ours visited us and she happened to bring along dish scrubbies. Random? Yes. Useful? Totally.
As our we chatted she began to tell me about her dish scrubbies, she went on to say that making them was her "thing." She exclaimed, "They are a great and quick project that I am easily able to sell for my fundraisers."
This throw has definitely made it's way to the top of my "Favorite Cozy Blankets I've made list" mostly do to the fact I despise crocheting blankets and i've honestly only made 3 in my crochet career.
As for the name; Hygge. I chose this Danish name specifically because of it's wondrous meaning.
" In Danish, hygge (pronounced “HUE-gah”) is one such word. Though there are many ways to describe hygge, we see it simply as the Danish ritual of enjoying life's simple pleasures. Friends. Family. Graciousness."

During the crazy busy holiday season, sometimes we need make a project that works up in under 30 minutes, and uses a simple stitch repeat. Well, I’ve got you all covered!
The Breah beanie was inspired by my love for quick, easy and simple projects. As we’re getting closer to the Holiday season I find myself needing more gifts for friends and family. I obviously don’t have enough time to make them a big blanket or sweater, so I always end up resorting to a beanie. The Breah Beanie is the perfect addition to your quick gift projects!
So, I have a pretty cool pattern for you all today. If I do say so myself, this has to be one of my favorite headbands i’ve made to date!
Shawls and scarves have recently made their way into my heart. These accessories were once something I despised making and wearing, but as I’ve grown as a designer (and moved to a colder climate) I find that I just can’t get enough of them!
Long ago, back when Hooked On Tilly was just patterns on Etsy and had horrible (Yes, that bad) photography, I designed a beanie pattern. I was so happy with the result and couldn’t wait to share it with my small following at the time. I quickly took pictures on my white fur rug (we were all doing that back then, right?) posted the pattern to Etsy and…nothing.
Today I have the Plume Shawl crochet pattern to share with you all. This design is worked easily, using only a few simple crochet stitches. You wouldn’t guess this pattern would be so simple with how gorgeous the end result turns out!
Today I have a really quick and easy crochet pattern for you all. A chunky Scrunchy!
So, If you haven’t noticed by now, scrunchies are back! I must admit I am actually so happy about this for the simple fact that my curly hair loves scrunchies! No knots no problems, am I right?
Today I will be sharing a really easy crochet mitten pattern! I’ve actually never been interested in crocheting mittens before for the simple fact that I live in the desert (Lol!) So, there never has actually been an instance that I would need mittens or gloves!
Today I have a quick and simple shawl pattern for you all! The Scarlett Shawl was designed with drape and minimalism in mind. I am SO happy to be sharing this design today!
Today I will be sharing the Fayre scarf pattern. This scarf works up beautifully. A simple two row repeat is done to create the gorgeous textured look of this design.
I was strolling through Hobby Lobby the other day and came across the fluffiest yarn ever! I just knew from that moment I HAD to make a blanket using Lion Brands Baby Soft Boucle yarn.
A little over one year ago today I gave birth to this sweet little babe you see pictured here. He was small, quiet, and absolutely beautiful.
My brother recently announced that he will be welcoming his first child into the world (Yay!) This means I will be an Auntie for the FIRST TIME! To celebrate the new little baby entering our family I just had to make him/her their own custom baby blanket!
A while back I told you all about how I was planning on slowly posting almost all of my crochet patterns from the past two years to the blog as free patterns.
Well, today I have a surprise pattern for you all; The Jubilee Dress!
So I recently challenged myself to knit/crochet a newborn hat for the next 30 days. I find that I get so consumed with using my craft for work that I forget to use it for the good of others as well. So, I will be donating all of these hats to my local hospital once i'm done. If any of you are willing to join me, I will be posting a newborn hat pattern EVERYDAY for the next 30 days! Yay!

Today I have a pretty sweet pattern for you all, a basic slouchy beanie for ALL SIZES. That's right, your tiny little babe can now rock an adorable slouchy beanie!
What I love the most about this pattern is the fact that you are able to use pretty much any texture/fiber of yarn and the blanket will always turn out beautiful! Don't feel like you have to use the same yarn I did, I've used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick and this blanket turns out just as squishy and gorgeous as always.
The Tilia Baby Blanket was inspired by my daughter Tilia, who also happened to be surprise...surprise...The inspiration behind my business name Hooked On Tilly!
The drape this blanket has is AMAZING!
So, it was Thanksgiving Day 2018 (which was only last month but we’re being a bit dramatic here) I was taking my famous green bean casserole over to my brothers house.
