Hey Guy's!

It's finally here! The Campfire Cardigan is FINALLY being released to you all after weeks of anticipation!

This design means so much to me, you wouldn't believe it. I've struggled for the longest time to create designs that I would actually wear in my day to day life, recently I've been reaching that goal and it feels AMAZING.

After weeks of testing, the Campfire Cardigan can officially be named "Perfect." Yay!

The campfire cardigan is a stable you could find in my closet. I love wearing cardigans, long, short, high-low, you name it. I think cardigans have the power to make your outfit feel however you want. Sophisticated? Wear a crew neck buttoned cardigan. Girly? Wear a draped neckline with a quarter length sleeve, hip height cardigan. Relaxed? Wear the Campfire Cardigan, a long, V-neck, draped cardigan.

The yarn I decided to use for this design was once again, a new favorite of mine; Lion Brand's ZZ Twist in Taupe. This yarn was created with crocheters in mind, the drape it gives is seriously AMAZING. Which we all know is a difficult task to achieve when crocheting.

R3 - Ch1, Turn, SC BLO across, Sl St into next 2 Sts (8)

Repeat rows 2 & 3 across. Slip Stitch into last stitch. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Seaming -

Note - By this point you should have a total of 5 pieces of fabric; 2 Sleeves, 2 Front Panels, 1 Back Panel. Before seaming I recommend wet blocking each piece on its own. This will help the cardigan to have a cleaner seam before the final blocking.

Step 1 - Take your back panel and two front pieces. Lay right sides facing you. Place the fasten off edge of the back panel to the fasten off edge of the front panels (Make sure the decrease edge of each front panel is facing the other) Using the Mattress stitch seam the edges together. Fasten off.

Step 2  - Take your sleeve with the foundation row facing the seamed edge of the front and back panel. Lay perpendicular and centered (right side facing you). Using the Mattress stitch seam the sleeve to the back/front panel, fasten off. Repeat on opposite side.

Step 3 - Fold sweater body & sleeves in half, front panels facing you. Using the Mattress stitch seam from the top of the bottom ribbing up to the armpit section and across the sleeve. Repeat on opposite side. Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

R3 - Ch1, Turn, SC BLO across, Sl St into next 2 Sts (6)

Repeat rows 2 & 3 around the inner section of the cardigan. Slip Stitch into last stitch.

Step 5 - Wet block your cardigan one more time. You are done!
