Laine Scarf - Free Crochet Pattern

Shawls and scarves have recently made their way into my heart. These accessories were once something I despised making and wearing, but as I’ve grown as a designer (and moved to a colder climate) I find that I just can’t get enough of them!

A few months back Jen from Laine and Lotus and I decided to collaborated to bring my followers a new design featuring her gorgeous yarn. When I first received two skeins of her fingering weight yarn (75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon blend) in “Shipwreck” the Laine scarf came to life. It’s not too often that you see crochet projects using this weight class of yarn, but I promise with a little patience you too can make this scarf in no time!

I went ahead and provided you guy’s with as many resources as I could for this project. You can find the written pattern below along with a chart.

The Laine scarf is my newest design and I hope you all love it as much as I do, let’s get into the pattern!

Notes:

  • This scarf is worked from the point or smallest section length and width wise.

  • Take blocking into consideration while working the scarf length. Merino wool can grow dramatically once blocked.

  • Chain 2 does not count as a stitch.

  • Finished Measurement after wet blocking -

    48" L x 38" W

Materials:

  • 3.75mm Crochet Hook

  • Approx. 850 yards Laine and Lotus Fingering Weight yarn in “Shipwreck”
